A MOTION

To Repeal the Constitution
Presented to the Senate of the Union of Democratic States on the 7th of April, 2021.
Sponsored by Druing.
As follows:

UNDERSTANDING that we have a Constitution ratified during the February of the previous year,

BELIEVING that as a region, we are currently lacking in nonsensical crises caused by the random, complete and total removal of said document,

CONFIDENT that there’s no possible negative outcome of such an action,

DON’T worry about it, it’s fine,

BE IT ENACTED by the Senate & General Assembly:

Section 1: Definitions & Short Title
1. This Motion may be referred to as the “1st Motion to Repeal The Constitution,” “The Most Spontaneous Repeal of A Law In Union History,” “Probably The Dumbest Idea Druing Has Ever Had In A Long Time,” “The Worst April Fools’ Joke Possibly Conceived,” and/or “Not Funny.”

Section 2: Provisions
1. The Constitution is repealed, as provisioned for under Article 7, Section 2, Clause 1 (“Following introduction in the Senate, a motion to amend or repeal this document or repeal a motion to amend this document shall follow the legislative process, requiring four-fifths majority approval of the Senate and three-fourths majority approval of the General Assembly.”).

2. That’s it. That’s the motion. No-one’s ever done this before, so there isn’t really any clue as to how you repeal a treaty through a motion to do so. Why am I writing this as a clause in the motion?

A. Hello?
