Honorable Speaker,

On behalf of the Electoral Commission of the Union, I present the following amendments to UL 018 to properly reflect the operational procedures that the Union uses to conduct elections. Namely, this amendment makes the following changes:
  1. Updates references to the chancellors to the EC
  2. Reduces the total election period to four days from six days, to better represent how elections are currently conducted and prevent the union from entering "perpetual election mode" with by elections
I further request immediate consideration of the bill by the Senate to accommodate the required time for the senate to handle the bill in advance of the September confirmation votes to prevent this amendment from slipping.
