A Motion​

To Amend the Rules and Procedures of the Senate​

Introduced by British Isles and Commonwealth Realms​

Section I: Provisions​

  1. Section 2 Clause C be amended to read, “The speaker shall moderate and guide the discussion of the Senate in accordance with the General Procedures of The Senate.”
  2. Section 2, Clause D shall be added to read, “The Speaker shall appoint a deputy speaker to act as speaker in their absence.”
  3. Section 3, Clause1, Subclause C shall be removed.
  4. Section 3, Clause 4 shall be amended to read, “All such periods may be extended or postponed by a majority of Senators voting in favor within the next 24 hours or the conclusion of the period being extended, whichever is shorter. All such periods may be concluded or shortened by a three-fifths majority vote of Senators within 12 hours.”
 
Well this is another one in a series of amendments to the r&p to prune out irrelevant sections of it.
