Statement Concerning the Message Board Extraordinaire Award
With the exception of the Baddie Award which is given to an infamous enemy of the region, all Union Day Awards are meant to celebrate the best of our Union and are given to players that adhere to the values of the Union. In announcing these awards the Union Day Committee stated that “throughout the existence of the Union of Democratic States, numerous individuals have contributed greatly to helping make the Union special and shaping the region into what it is today.” Given Quentin Compson’s knowing flaunting of OOC regional rules thus putting the safety of the UDS community at risk and subsequently earned indefinitely banned status, the Union’s Day Committee has elected to bestow the Message Board Extraordinaire award to the democratically elected runner-up Batistabomb. Given the above, Quentin Compson’s name should have been removed from the ballot during the initial vetting of candidates. This was an oversight and the Union Day Committee apologizes for this mistake.
