Statement Clarifying Administration of Discord Servers

The Administrative Team of the Union of Democratic States has a mandate to ensure the security of all properties associated with and utilized by the Union's IC roleplay government. Subsequently, all such properties must be owned by an administrator and at least one administrator must have access to each channel as to ensure that safety standards are met. Such ownership is required to ensure that properties utilized by the Union's IC roleplay government are in secure hands. Additionally, central administration allows the administrative team to efficiently carry out determinations. Related but not necessarily associated servers such as party or caucus servers that lie outside IC regional jurisdiction do not need to be owned by the administrative team. However, such servers must promptly adhere to any bans or other determinations issued by the administrative team.

Addendum 1:

• Properties that are created by the government, organized or promoted by the government for the residents, or use region branding are under the administrative jurisdiction of the UDS Administrative Team.
• Satellite discord servers must be owned by a senior administrator, have posted in a public place the universal UDS rules, have a moderator discussion channel, and an announcements channel linked to the main server.
